English Channel Study Abroad is a trading name of English Channel Consultancy LLP ("we", "us", "our"), and your privacy matters to us. We only collect what you give us or what's necessary to deliver our service:

- Communications — emails, calls, or WhatsApp messages you send us, along with the content of those conversations.
- Technical data — your IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited. This is logged automatically by our hosting provider as part of standard internet traffic, and by the spam-protection and email-delivery services described in section 4.
- Local storage — small bits of data stored in your browser (such as your cookie consent choice) to remember your preferences.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide solely to:
- Respond to your inquiries and provide the study abroad guidance you request.
- Send follow-up information about courses, scholarships, visa support, and related services.
- Improve our website and the quality of our consultations.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing.
3. Cookies and Tracking
We use a minimal set of storage technologies. Today that is a single entry in your browser's local storage recording your cookie consent choice, plus a short-lived cookie set by our spam-protection provider when you submit the contact form. We do not currently run analytics or advertising trackers. If that changes, this policy will be updated first. You can clear these at any time through your browser's site data settings.
4. Third-Party Services
Our website is served as static files and loads its fonts, scripts, and images from our own domain — so simply reading a page shares your data with nobody but our host. The following third parties are involved only when you actively contact us:
- Cloudflare Turnstile — the "are you human?" check on our contact form. It receives your IP address and browser signals to distinguish you from a bot.
- Our email delivery service — when you submit the contact form, the name, email address, and message you entered are transmitted to a mail-delivery provider that forwards them to our inbox.
- Our hosting provider — standard server logs (IP address, user agent, requested page).
- WhatsApp — only if you click one of our WhatsApp buttons, which hands you off to WhatsApp under their own privacy policy.
These services have their own privacy policies and we encourage you to review them.
5. Data Retention
We keep your inquiry data only for as long as needed to provide our services and to comply with legal record-keeping requirements. Inquiries that don't result in an ongoing relationship are typically deleted within 24 months.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (e.g., EU/UK under GDPR, California under CCPA), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Object to or restrict processing of your data.
